Representative Project List:
The following is a partial list of projects in which Peterson Consulting has played a primary role. The list is intended to represent the variety of project scopes, budgets, challenges, and services provided.

Elevator Modernization
Winooski, VT
2010
When the Winooski Housing Authority needed to modernize two, thirty-five year-old elevators in a senior housing facility, they called on Peterson Consulting, Inc. to plan and manage the project. Our duties included coordinating the development of the project specifications, producing the project manual, administering the bid, contractor qualifications and contract administration. Served as the designated Contracting Officer on behalf of owner.


Solar Lighting Prototype
Essex Jct. & S. Burlington, VT
2009-2010
Selected by CCTA to head-up a team to identify solar-powered lighting options for existing bus passenger shelters. Coordinated efforts of architect, electrical engineer, manufacturers and contractor. Performed trouble-shooting on installed systems and fine-tuned equipment and installation details.


Pump Station Replacement
Winooski, VT
2009
Project was the replacement of a sewage pump station for 59 units of public family housing. This $250K HUD funded project was one of the first in Vermont, which utilized 2009 stimulus funds. Services included procurement and coordination of design services, project planning, bid administration, value management, and contract administration. Served as officially designated Contracting Officer under HUD rules.


Large Vehicle Painting Facility
Burlington, VT
2008
Project is a 56’ x 16’x 16’ crossflow paint booth to accommodate public transit buses with a project cost of $325K. Essentially constructing a building within a building, this highly technical project required extensive structural, electrical and mechanical engineering. Served as Owner’s Representative with services that included planning, design team liaison, producing budget estimates, contractor qualification, value management, and bid and contract administration.

Bus Storage Expansion
Burlington, VT
2009
Served as Owner’s Representative with services that included project planning, value management, contractor pre-qualification, bid administration, contract administration, progress inspections and general project oversight. Project was a $1.1M, 8,500 square foot addition to an existing bus storage facility serving Chittenden County Transportation Authority. Structural steel building addition, including extensive site and storm water work.


Senior Housing
Winooski, VT
2006 - Present
Selected as Owner’s Representative for acquisition and $900K rehabilitation of 101 units of senior rental housing. Work includes assisting owner in finalizing multi-year scopes of work, value management, procurement of services, bid and contract administration, and progress inspections and reporting. Completed heating system conversion and roof replacement in summer of 2007.


Office Fit-Up
Burlington, VT
2004 - 2005
Served as Owner’s Representative for VT’s largest non-profit transit agency with services that included project planning, bid administration, value management, contract administration, progress inspections and general project oversight. Project created 8,100 square feet of new office space in previously unfinished space. Construction hard costs came in under $46/ SF and the project had a total cost of $400K.

Transit Passenger Shelters
Addison, Chittenden, Franklin, Lamoille, Washington Counties, VT
2003 - Present
Planning and management of site selection, permit acquisition, bid administration, contract administration, and project oversight.
